2008 Olympian from Puerto Rico McWilliams Arroyo will challenge IBF flyweight champion Amnat Ruenroeng on September 14 at the Liptapanlop Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, in a Jimmy’s Boxing presentation. “We already confirmed and the fight will be on Sunday, September 14, in Thailand, so McWilliams continues focused on his training and we will coordinate all matters relating to the date on which we will travel to this fight”, said Peter Rivera, PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) Vice-President.

Arroyo (15-1, 13 KOs), who is the #1 IBF ranked at 112 pounds, is coming off a spectacular second round KO victory last June 19 over Froilan Saludar in an IBF elimination bout. Arroyo is a gold medalist at the 2009 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Italy and also won gold medals at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games in Colombia and at the 2007 Pan American Games in Brazil.

Ruenroeng (13-0, 5 KOs) is a bronze medalist of the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships 2007 in Chicago and represented Thailand at the 2008 Olympic Games in China. Ruenroeng won the IBF flyweight belt last January 22, 2014 when he beat Filipino Rocky Fuentes by unanimous decision and impressively defended the crown on May 7 with a split decision victory over Japanese sensation Kazuto Ioka.
